Leap of Faith

A story that always makes me chuckle involves my old boss at work. He came back after a week's trip along the Norfolk Broads and couldn't wait to tell this story.

He had hired a boat for himself, his wife and his mother and father in law. I had heard a few funny stories about his father in law, but this topped them off. I have never actually met him, but he sounds like a character.

They had only just got the boat for one day and they were docking it one afternoon. None of them had any experience in this sort of holiday, so when they came to dock, they came in too quickly and hit the side and bounced back. Now instead of starting again, the 67 year took it upon himself, to grab the rope, take a massive run up and do what can only be described as an "Indiana Jones Style" leap from the boat, over the water onto the side. He finished the job with a forward roll and managed to tie the boat up to safety. He parked the boat everytime from then on apparently!
